A6700 video - purple flashes

What is the cause of these flashes on video?

Is it due to heat? If so, why is there no warning on the camera, which is set to to the higher thermal setting?

Earlier recordings did not have this, and I've not seen any since, but I'm worried in case there is a a sensor/camera problem. This is the smaller file that is also created for sharing, orginal is 4k/50fps with same issue.

Thanks

I don’t know if it’s a sensor issue or something about the main board or the SD card.

Please, try to change your flash memory  with better write performance (or anyway a new one) and check. I think it can solve.

If the issue is confirmed on the camera side you should contact the warranty assistance

Hey ianwhite16, I'm not sure what is that either, but try the basic steps on the link below and let us know if any changes happened: https://helpguide.sony.net/ilc/2320/v1/en/contents/t01_troubleshooting.html

Thanks,

I have removed the battery, tried a different, plus the same, SDcard and tried both overheating ptoection settings. I have seen the overheating warming icon, but no more purple flashes. Hopefully a one-off, but I'll keep an eye on it.
