A7R5 and Lens Firmware update on MacOS 13.3

Hi, Does anyone know how to update lens firmware with A7R5 on a MacOS 13.3?

When I try to run the updater for the SEL1635GM3D on my iMac, the app crashes. The Sony website only mentions MacOS upto version 12 and the instructions do not make any sense to me in that if I install SSUhelper200_2110a then contents of the package do not match the instructions. I have looked at a YouTube video but their experience is not the same as mine.

Unbelievably Sony does not support MacOS 13. I have had the following reply from them regarding their software. Given that MacOS 13 was released in June 2022 and the vast majority of people with a Mac will using it this seems incredible. Sony is leaving many of us without support.

With reference to your enquiry regarding your Sony SEL1635GM, we are sorry to learn that you are unable to update the firmware on your lens using the MacOS 13.3.

Hey RoyH1957, a quick fix would be to update it on another computer that runs a compatible OS, and leave a comment to Sony on the website to update the supported models. If you go to the end of the article, you can add feedback.

Unfortunately I  do not have access to an alternate computer with a different OS. I would have thought my support call to Sony would have alerted them to the fact they are not supporting photographers using an OS released 10 months ago.

Don't lose hope as the apps gets updated frequently, especially since they just released Creator's cloud, so it might be included in a future update.

I know this is a bit late but I did all the camera and lense software updates on my a7rv using my mac which runs ventura 13.3.1 without any problems
