Shutter Release Remote Control for Sony A58

hi

is there any Shutter Release Remote Control for Sony A58 (wired or wireless)?

the one provided by Sony, allows only shutter lock. I need a timer adjustable from 2 seconds at least.

The remote control software starts from 10 sec.

also i have to carry a laptop with me

There is a free Android App in Google Play Store, called RCCDroid. Until now, it is a wired (USB) remote control, but Timer will be added in next release. Try to contact developer regarding your special requirement.

I got the following answer:

"RCCDroid will be enhanced with a Timelaps function in the next days. The pause between the pictures depends on the choosen quality. In RAW, there might be a delay of 10 seconds. The delay between different JPG pics will be at least 1.5 seconds."

Other "old school" solution to this is to use the camera's self-timer if you just wish to erradicate shutter shake from the equation.

But it irks me somewhat that something that should have a unit cost of pennies costs a heck of a lot more.

if you have to carry a laptop you can also use that to remote trigger as i think the A58 has tether support?
