Can a Sony Vaio be upgraded

Hi,

I have a Sony Vaio, about 5 years old. Ram is inadequate. Is it possible to upgrade the Ram from 512MB to 1 or 2 GB.

I cannot see a model name, but it has the following numbers:

Serial/Model No XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX and

SN No. 00045 454 157 393

I would be grateful if someone can answer the above question and if that is possible, can you list a site where memory modules can be purchased??

We need the model to see what the maximum RAM you can use is.

You should find it on the screen surround - it will probably start VGN-
