Vintage WM-D6C Professional Recorder

1. I bought my WM-D6C Professional Recorder new in the 1980s in the USA.

2. I now live in the Netherlands.

3. The unit has a DC power input of 6V.

Question: Is it safe to use a European 6V power adapter?

Hi Mandoist,

welcome to the Sony User Community Forum..:smileyhappy:

In addition to the post above it may be easier to use batteries, or possibly rechargeable ones, instead of searching for a replacement or compatible power adaptor..

but if the adaptor is the route you want to take then the following chart below may be of use..

Hi there

I have done a little googling on this, the common issue seems to be the polarity of the adapters.  Have a read of:

It is for the UK adapters, but could possibly be the same for the Netherlands too.

Cheers
