Xperia c4 screen turns on automatically

Few days back my xperia c4 has fell in water however phone is working without any issues but recently I am experiencing few problems with the device
When I lock the device it automatically turns on and doesn't go to sleep mode I have reset the mobile but didn't work even I booted my mobile I'm safe mode but didn't work
I tried to repair using pc companion however it detects my device download software for phone but it doesn't install in my phone
Pls someone help Me in solving my problem

I have screen guard on device and the problem started three days back

remove it > restart the phone > check again w/o the screen guard

I don't think I would be a screen guard issue because o have been using this device since 2 months and I haven't faced this issue anytime from last three days only this problem has persist
