topic Apps removed automatically from Recent used apps window in XZ Series

Hello,

I have noticed with my XZ premium that apps are being removed from recently used apps window automatically. I haven't figured any pattern for that but my previous phone, Z3, was not behaving like this. I can only guess this is related to battery saving functionality but is there an option to keep all recently used apps listed unless i close them intentionally? I have ultra-stamina mode off and stamina mode going on at 15%, but this happens also when there is more than 15% battery left.

it's not related to battery saving. Android Nougat removes apps that haven't been used for a while from the list, and I don't know of any way to change this (not without root anyway, there might be an Xposed module for that). since the last update Z3 received was Marshmallow, no wonder you haven't noticed anything like that back then.

http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/05/18/android-n-includes-tweak-of-recent-apps-ui-with-clear-all-button-at-top-only-7-apps-included-in-switcher-and-quick-switch-shortcut/

Go to settings > Storage & memory > turn off Smart cleaner.

Maybe this will help???
