Update 58.1.A.5.55 Not Installing

On my Xperia 1II, the latest update downloads, then says will install after restart.

However, restart just starts phone normally and doesn't install anything.

20 seconds later, prompted to download same update again.

Tried it again, but whole cycle repeats. I'm currently ignoring further prompts to do same again, and seen a comment elsewhere of a user going through same failing cycle 5 times.

Does this update work for any 1II user?

On a further attempt it has now worked. Not sure if something changed to allow this.

It installs as it downloads, I'm sure it't a 3 part install/download, and upon restart it'll be installed, but any glitch or issue on download and it will redownload it, which is what you encountered.

I've had a nightmare week with Virgin Media, and was glad when it downloaded today.
