Hi all,

Sony Xperia 1 III XQ-BC52 running Android 12.

Since upgrading to Android 12, long pressing a blank area of the home screen to bring up launcher-related actions such as accessing home settings, adding widgets to home screen etc no longer works for me.

This is the case with all launchers I’ve tried - the default launcher as well as Hyperion and Nova 7 so doesn’t seem to be launcher-related.

I’ve tried:

Clearing the launcher cache and settings, as well as clearing resetting app preferences.
Restarting in Safe Mode;
Running the touch screen test in the support app (all fine).

Everything else is working ok.

Can anyone else reproduce and does anyone have a fix please?

Hey @ergreen1981, it seems to be one of Android 12 bugs that Sony is currently working on. Since you tried to clear the launcher's cached data and it didn't work, you can try software repair via Xperia Companion. Just make sure that a backup is created before starting this process.
