Connecting turntable to audio system

I have just recieved a turntable - PS - LX300USB AND Audio system CMT SBT20B.

I do not want to play the turntable via pc but through the audio system, but im at a loss on how to go about it ? Do I need a preamp?

Can anyone advise what I need to do?

the turntable should feature a RCA output you can connect to the audio system.
