Hi mulford and welcome to Club Vaio.

The messages you are getting indicate a physical memory parity error.

This can be caused by loose or faulty RAM modules.

1. Check the modules are seated properly - follow this guide http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/tutorials/memory/memory.asp?m=3120&site=voe_en_GB_cons

2. Update your graphics driver (GPUs have dedicated memory too). Try this one: -

http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista/176.37

3. If these don't do the trick try running a memory diagnostic tool like MEMTEST to try to identify faulty modules

Hopefully one of these will help - if not consider reinstalling the operating system.
