keyboard problem with the key on sony vaio tx3hp/w

hello,

i have reinstalled xp sp2 with all the drivers and utilities given by sony site
(because of a lot of virus on the pc)

all is functionnal but my problem is the key: this key works reverse
when the key is not pressed, the characters given are key pressed characters and
when the key is pressed, the characters given are key not pressed characters

this is very weird. i dont understand

is someone has an idea?

Hi labdog,

Is you Number Lock (Num Lk) on?

If so try turning it off. If this still happens after a re-boot then there is a registry fix available at Kellys Korner that will default the Num Lk to off at boot - line 4 second column.
