It worked fine on my last PC. I have now installed Roxio EMC10 but the capture video command generates a "this programme has stopped" statement. I suspect interference from other software and have asked Sony help for help!

I would like to copy recordings from the Sky+ box to the Vaio AW11 and then DVD/BD. I have a cable (AVerMedia) with converter that connects to a USB port. The cable was provided with a DVD Suite but I would prefer to utilise one of the preinstalled video editing packages. I can't yet find one that will capture via the USB - via the iLINK seems preferred. Appreciate any guidance to find a way to capture. Thanks.

Just got my Vaio and very happy!

Do you actually know if this is possible?
I have always understood the Sky+ box to encrypt anything that goes through it - I know a lot of things you can't even record to a dedicated DVD standalone writer
