    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Nathe, this seems like a strange workaround,&lt;BR /&gt;normally the jack should be recognized by system automaticly even on the Vaio.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Since 8.10 Ubuntu is using Pulseaudio as it's main sound system, alsa only persists as a backward compability (like OSS) &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You're maybe talking about the following bug report:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/195605" target="_blank"&gt;https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/195605&lt;/A&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If so it would be kind if you'd subscribe there for further infos.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yeah I found the solution for this problem &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.fr/html/@9CAC7F4BDC92F34A189F361DB4AE39C8/images/smilies/001.png" alt=":grin:" title=":grin:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. step: You should run the terminal&lt;BR /&gt;2. step: sudo -s &lt;BR /&gt;3. step: you should go here: /etc/modprobe.d/ &lt;BR /&gt;4. step: type editor&lt;BR /&gt;5. step: ctrl+r&lt;BR /&gt;6. step: ctrl+t &lt;BR /&gt;7. step: you should search the alsa-base.conf if you found press enter&lt;BR /&gt;8. step: add this line (under the options lines): &lt;BR /&gt;options snd-hda-intel model=vaio position_fix=0 &lt;BR /&gt;9. step: ctrl+x and then press y&lt;BR /&gt;10. step: ctrl+t &lt;BR /&gt;11. step: you should search the alsa-base.conf if you found press enter and then y&lt;BR /&gt;12. reboot your system &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is very very easy and work!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Good luck!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Greetings from Hungary!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
