Firstly, thank you for being one of the few manufacturers to keep the notification LED, it’s useful and preferable over an always-on-display in my opinion.
However, I feel as though it doesn’t blink frequently enough. As it is at around 5 seconds between blinks, it’s almost faster to wake the screen to check notifications. I think that a blink every 2 or 3 seconds would be more useful, or having the option to set the interval wild be great too.
Being able to glance at your phone to see if you have a message rather than waiting 5 seconds or more for a blink that might never come would be more convenient.
Cheers
Would be nice to have the option to customize the behavior of the LED for different notifications. I remember back in the day all the fun effects you could do with BBs.
Agree, would be nice to have option to control blink interval and color too (for different apps different color, or at least one general color).
You can.
In Apps & Notifications, you can change the LED notification light to another colour, for example, Whatsapp, gives you an absolute ton of options for the notifications, and in its Advanced section, lets you change the LED colour, speed(older versions than the latest, seems to be removed), and its status, along with a ton of other stuff.
It's been all app dependant now from around API20+
My settings are below. I have option for colour etc but not blink speed/interval.
Sorry, won’t let me attach the screens natively. Imgur link below:

That page says, "Zoinks! You've taken a wrong turn."
Ha-Ha Zoinks...shades of Scooby-Doo.
Sorry, it was set to private. I’ll try again at work
I am not able to find this option to change led color in Apps and Notifications in X1. Can you paste the screenshot? I am not talking about the change in What's app but the system one.
