Recording enlarged images on the nex-5

Can I record enlarged (cropped) images created in playback on my sony nex-5 This is a facility on my old cybershot but i cannot figure out how to do it on my nex-5

As far as I am aware, this feature isn't offered on the NEX-5. I have been through the manual and although it mentions that images can be enlarged on page 84:

It doesn't mention whether the image is saved afterwards - I assume that it will not be although in this instance I would be delighted to be proved wrong!
