After the update my TV doesn't turn on and show a 4 red leds blinking.
I have tried an hard reset, but nothing happened. What can have happened?
I don’t think you can! Mine wouldn’t turn on, service centre said it was bricked
So, LD board replacement for your set, too?
I wonder: Was it due to a defective part or due to a bad firmware?
Strange that it worked fine until last weeks update!
latest update is indeed weird.
My 65XD7505 was stucked on SONY logo right before update and right after TV copied update form USB stick to its memory and restart. It was hanging on SONY TV logo for quite a while.
I had to turnit off and on again from power and then it started updating on first boot. But then all went smooth and still working.

I think it's a half/half responability.
They should be WAY more careful when they release an update. They should check the maximum numbers of combinations before rolling it out
Calling them was a bit of a nuisance. They insisted an enginner will call me but had to mention twice I can't take calls, thought it was obvious I'm deaf and using a text relay assistant to help me with the call. Well hopefully the engineer will email to arrange a service date...
Not impressed with the fact Sony want to deal with everything by phone.

I have just received a call from the service center. As expected, main board. The service said that at the moment does not have any information from Sony wether the firmware update is defective or not.
Should we proceed with the update when it is pushed automatically to the new main board or not? Should we oblidge the service center to install the new update or not?
Have the service centers in your countries provided any clue or information on this issue?
I am in the dark...

I agree with you.
What to do next? Can we update our devices without fear or what?
Unbelievable
They already changed my board!
Tomorrow morning I will have the TV back
Happy for you!
Mine would be ready on Thursday, according to the service center.
Have you asked them about the update?
Which firmware version will the TV have?
Did they install the latest?
