4 red leds blinking after latest update (KD55XE9005)

After the update my TV doesn't turn on and show a 4 red leds blinking.

 

I have tried an hard reset, but nothing happened. What can have happened?

I have a different model to you guys (KD-55XE8596) and yesterday’s update completely bricked my TV! All it would do afterwards was repeatedly flash the LED red 6 times.  I managed to contact Sony last night and had contact from the local service centre this morning, who were going to send an engineer out. 

 

Since then, someone from Sony UK contacted me late this afternoon (he sounded quite frantic). He said that my case had been escalated to him, and he informed me that I certainly wasn’t the only one with this issue and that they were sending a courier out this evening to collect my TV, and ship it back the them in Basingstoke so that they can investigate why it’s happening.  He also said I should get a replacement tomorrow (not that I’ll be home to receive it).

 

TV was collected about 30mins ago, and that’s where I’m at.............

Just hoping that Sony Hellas (Greece) will demostrate the same support to my case tomorrow.

Hey everyone!

We came home this evening to find we have the flashing red light (x4) 😞

the update was completed late last night! This is a nightmare, we can’t call until tomorrow morning now. I hope for their sake it doesn’t last over the bank holiday!!

WOW we are A LOT now.

 

I hope that since is clearly Sony's fault, they can repair or replace in 1-2 days our devices. This is really embarrassing for Sony

Mine was still under warranty, dunno where people who aren’t will stand!!! Clearly Sony have ***** up though!!!

I think, luckily, we all are under warranty
