I have a kd75xg8096, and a ht-st5000 soundbar.
I was under the impression that this tv wasn’t able to spit out atmos format??
When i stream Netflix from the tv app, i get the ability to hear atmos Sound. I Can also verify this on the soundbar where it says: Dolby atmos/Dolby digital plus.
How Can this be?
I know (or i think i do) that if i connect like an Apple tv 4k directly to the soundbar, and the soundbar is connected via arc (not earc) to the tv, the atmos format should be able to passthrough, since it is the soundbar, that directly handles sound.
But the Netflix app directly from the tv witch is not able to do atmos, and is connected via arc should not be able, but it is. I even se the atmos avalability in the netflix app.
If the tv does not support atmos How Can this be?
