Sony A95 QD Oled screen burn query

Hi,

I have replaced my old A1 which had screen burn/image retention with the A95. Being very once bitten about image retention I wanted to ask what may be a stupid question about the picture off option so please excuse my dumbness🙄.

I understand that If I pause a program there is the potential for screen burn but if I turn the picture off will that potential still exist?  Like I said it seems a daft thing to ask but please humour me 🙂

Thanks.

Hi @SRT3333

Turning the picture off provides zero risk of image retention. If by A95 you mean A95K then make sure that you turn on the many power saving features that may help with image retention. I particularly like the auto dimming when it recognises there is nobody watching.
