I've tried to solve this problem for one and a half year but can't seem to find any solution so that's why I seek help here.
I'm having some really terrible sound delays on my Sony Android TV (KD-55XD8505) and it seems to be worst on HDMI Sources.
I usually have a 100ms delay on all audio which can't be helped as my Soundbar (which is connected through Optical at the moment) only supports sound delay and not to get the sound to come earlier.
This problem has been since the start but I've lived with it as long as I've tried to find a solution.
I've tried this:
I even tried connecting my PS4 to the TV to see if that would sync up. It actually had the worst sound delay of all devices, almost up to a half a seconds delay on the sound.
The TV even seems to have a little more delay when the TV is put on Game Mode. If you turn it off it will usually sound a little bit more synced but not by much.
If someone knows of any way to help me solve this mystery, I'll give you my biggest thanks.
Hi Sarato,
Welcome to the community.
I'm just going to try to find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe someone else in the community might have some ideas.
Thanks,
Pascale
Hi Sarato,
I think all the steps you listed are on point when dealing with such an issue but I'm interested to know if the audio delay starts as soon as you switch the TV on or does it kick in after some time? Also, you said you've been trying to sort this for about six months, is that how long you've had the TV?

Hi! I was unaware of the sound delay at first as I didn't really think about it when I was playing games.
It was when I started seeing comparisons of the timing of the sound online which made me realize I've played with the sound delay. After realizing it, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
I have owned the TV for about 18 months.
Hi again!
Have you got any answers yet?
