I have just bought the SONY BRAVIA KD55XE9005 55 and wanted to use a USB HDD to record.
I bought at the same time a Western Digital Elements SE 2TB and connected up to the TV. I allowed the TV to register the device after formatting and therefore should have been good to go. However, the TV reports the device as being too slow (its USb3) and only formats it to 252 gb, when one would expect at least 1.8TB.
Any ideas whats going on here, what have I missed or done wrong. Is this HDD suitable?
