Is it possible to pair a SRS-XB12 with SRS-XB10?

I have a SRS-XB10 and was thinking of getting another to pair with it. I thren saw there was a newer model SRS-XB12 and wondered if the two could be paired

I m afraid you cant, if we look at the description

It says that XB12 can only be paired with an other XB12 😕
