How to delete videos/photos from camcorder on computer

Hello,

I have the Sony HDC-CX260VE camcorder.

I have tried deleting videos and photos while my camcorder was connected to my computer, but it wouldn't let me. However, I was able to delete the videos and photos directly on the camcorder.

Is it possible to delete videos/photos from my camcorder while it's connected to my computer, via my computer or is it only possible directly on the camcorder?

it is not possible to delet content on the handycam from the PC, it is wirte protected. Use the camcorder.
