My handycam DCR-SR190E won't connect to my computer. Any ideas appreciated

My DCR-SR190E works fine. I have picture motion browser software but when I connect the camera to my computer via USB and the handyman station all i get is the word preparing on the camera screen (after I've pressed the computer icon). Then nothing happens. I've tried all the usual stuff e.g. turning stuff off, re-booting etc but nothing. I've updated the software as far as possible (Tried again today but the links don't work on the sony page). I'm working with Windows 7 if that helps.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Peter, welcome to the Sony Forums

We've had a few enquiries about this on teh forum and the consensus seems to be that the very latest version of PMB is required for the SR190.

Hopefully the link will be up soon; if not you could try contacting Sony customer services to see if they can help.
