Hi
I have a SD handycam and have playmemories home installed on my laptop to manage the mpeg 2 files from the camera.
I was at a ruby wedding celebration recently [my own !] and one of the guests had a sony HD handycam and kindly gave me a memory stick with all of her files on it. They are all .MTS files and my version of playmemories home cant see them in the folder i copied them to on the laptop.
How do I access these files through my playmemories app.?
[I can play them using Windows media player - so I know they are in the folder]
any suggestions gratefully received.
thanks in anticipation
Al
Hello Al - Welcome to the Sony Forums
In this situation (I have had a similar problem before with other software) I would recommend converting the .mts files into another format that would be readable such as .avi as this shouldn't result in any loss of quality.
There are various options available that are free of charge. One particular piece of software is here:
http://www.mtsconverter.net/download/mts-converter.exe
However I would recommend that you take a look at all of the products available when searching on Google for 'free .mts to .avi converter'.
Thanks,
Simon
