Reducing wind noise with HDR-CX105 Handycam

In the absence of an external mike on this handycam I find that there is much wind noise on my recordings in any wind conditions. Short of sticking tape over the two mike grills, does anyone have a solution that will enable me to actually catch backgrond sounds without them being smothered by wind striking the metal grills?

Just thought I'd let you know that I have now tried attaching a small patch of imitation fur to the camera and carriedd out a test using a fan (as in the video) and it works fine.

Thanks again.

check out these links for universal windshields (commercial and DIY). I have bought the one from Gutmann (for my DSC-HX1) and it really makes the difference!

Very much appreciate your suggestions. The demo with the fan illustrated the problem exactly.

Don't know why I didn't think of using this Forum before.
