Sony DCR-HC51E - icons on LCD not working

Hello there,

I have a problem with my Sony DCR-HC51E....the icons on the LCD are not working and I cant even calibrate it! See clips:

In the second video, have you been attempting to perform a reset of the camera to factory settings as per page 51 of the manual? Have you also tried removing the battery from the camera for one minute and then putting it back in?

If this still hasn't made the touch screen active again, this may indicate an internal fault within the camera and I would advise you first of all to contact Sony Customer Services to investigate the possibility of a repair and how much it may cost.
