Hii
Just got this new cam HDR-PJ260VE and i still have my old cam HDR-HC5 with 2 batt.
a NP-FH100 and NP-FH60... well the question is, can i by any way use the old batt. i have.
Well partly yes... i would say...
When i try them on the HDR-PJ260VE, the cam works ok, and the status says 100 % charged and around 9 hours left (NP-FH100)... ohh yes
So far so good, but after a few minuts the cam says (C:04:00) For use with compatible battery only
Is there any way i can force HDR-PJ260VE to accept my old functional batteries ???
It's a waste of good batteries and also for the environment, etc. I really like to use them as they still work 100%.
Lars
Hello Lars
I understand that this is a frustrating situation and as far as I can tell, it is taking your camera a short amount of time to register that the battery is not one of the officially compatible types. As far as I am aware, there is no official method for forcing the camera to accept one of these batteries.
Have you considered perhaps selling them (eBay etc?) and then purchasing one of the newer batteries?
Thanks,
Simon
Hii Simon..
I was hoping that Sony would allow the use of their own (old) products via a software update...
That would be a nice thing for Sony to do...
I really like my NP-FH100 batt. it holds the power for so long time... i know it's big but i can live with it..
So Sony this is for you... give us an software update regarding this issue
