Hi,
I have a Sony HX5 camera. I have taken a number of HD quality video's of myself at the golf driving range. I'd like to be able to view and analyse my swing in slow motion, frame by frame is possible. The only software that I have is the Sony PMB which does not appear to allow you to slow down a video.
Does anyone have any recommendations on any (free) software that would be ideal for analysing a golf swing?
Cheers,
Andy
Hello Andy - Welcome to the forum!
I have heard a few people say that TrakAx is a piece of video editing software that should be able to carry this out for you. There is a free version as well as a paid version and taking a quick glance at the list of features would indicate that the free version may be sufficient.
The link is http://www.trakax.com/.
Thanks
Simon
i did the exact same thing! i used RealPlayer Trimmer, its free to use. It done the job for me but i also found another programme which was very basic but did an amazing job. I cant recall what it was called cos i no longer have it but now i have a new 1080i capable camera i think il be needing it! i will repost when i find it, for now, RealPlayer Trimmer should be useful!
Hi Andy
Interesting post, have you thought of shooting in bursts of ten frames per second, a few times in quick suctions.

Hello Andy
SMPlayer (actually a complete front-end for MPlayer) gives basic features like playing videos, DVDs, and VCDs to more advanced features like multiple speed playback. You can play at 2X, 4X... and in slow motion.
best of all - it's free
You can download at: http://smplayer.berlios.de/
Hope this helps
