I have the GPS setting to on and the GPS co-ordinates were always saved in the JPG.
I noticed recently that they weren't there and the GPS icon was not displayed.
I went to the settings and it shows it as On. If I select it and On and exit the icon displays and it gets a fix fairly soon.
So the issue isn't getting a fix, it's the camera thinking it isn't on.
When I switch the camera off and on again it may work and may not.
I like my display as clear as possible so have to change the display mode to one that shows the GPS icon to check, then back to my preferred setting, which is just the level indicator.
