What is Multipoint Connection?

Multipoint Connection is a feature that allows a single Bluetooth® headset to maintain simultaneous connections to other devices, such as a smartphone and a laptop.

One for the multi-taskers, or those who don’t want to miss something important, Multipoint Connection provides real convenience and is hugely helpful in all types of scenarios. For example, you can watch Netflix on your laptop and still hear a call coming in on your mobile, or you can listen to Spotify on your smartphone whilst keeping on top of work notifications on your computer.

The feature is automatic, so you don’t need to fuss around with manually disconnecting and reconnecting your devices, plus you can easily switch between devices when needed.

Multipoint Connection is compatible with Android, iOS, Windows, and MacOS, and once you’ve used this technology, you’ll wonder how you ever survived without it!

Multipoint Connection will soon be available on the Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones, LinkBuds S, and LinkBuds, via a firmware update.
