Email from Sony - passkey deactivated?

Got an email today. I managed to recover my account but it seems the passkey was indeed deactivated as I didn't get a prompt to login with passkey when I tried. No other emails before or after this. Could this be a tech issue on their side or perhaps them deactivating the passkey due to inactivity, making me go through the restore process?

 

I did some testing afterwards by disabling / enabling the passkey. If you disable it, you must set a password, which then triggers a password change email, which I didn't get after the initial passkey disabled email. This makes me think it might be something on Sony's side rather than someone else logging into my account. Some of the further emails I received when I tested things showed the same reply-to email as with the initial email.

 

Not sure what else I can do and I can't figure out how to contact support and speak to a person. Has anyone had a similar problem?

I got the same email today. Like you, I suspect this is just an internal error with Sony, but I changed my passkey just in case.
