KD-55X8507C not allowing auto switching with switch

Hi,

I have a Sony 4K TV from 2015 (KD-55X8507C) and have one too many devices connected to it via HDMI so had to order a switch. 

The first switch I ordered was a 3-Port HDMI Switch, Fosmon Ultra HD 4K 1080p with auto-switching. However the auto switching did not work. I could manually select between the devices I had connected to it, via the button on the switch, but no auto switching! Therefore, thinking the device was faulty, I bought another. This time I bought 4K HDMI Switch TeckNet 3 Port HDMI Auto Switcher.

However I have exactly the same problem!

The devices I have connected to the switch are an XBox One (original) and a Sony Blu-Ray Player (BDP-S570).

I am reluctant to try another switch as I think there must be a compatibility issue between the TV and the other two devices. 

Has anyone else found a switch that works with their Sony 4K TV and an XBox One (original) and a Sony Blu-Ray player, that will actually allow auto switching????

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Dan635767,

I'm not sure about connecting a switch to the TV, it seems from your description that it could be compatibility with the "Auto Switching" function, I've checked this with Sony and it seems that overall the functionality of the HDMI switch is not guaranteed on the TV.
