The swedish site will not give me access so I am only admitted to the UK site. I can not register for an account on the swedish site either.

Sweden doesn't have its own community.
The UK community is the correct place to sign up.
You can test it by going to http://community.sony.se/ - it will forward you to the UK community but display a swedish top-level domain.
