Has anyone actually fixed their VRD-MC5 (multi function DVD recorder) and cleared the "unusable disc inserted. Insert a compatible disc" message 

Yesterday I performed and software update to read as below but still no luck. 

Revision:

5EB-7240-41R1-BS25

(1U0X-0505-0004) 21.0.072

I even bought new DVD+R DL disks today - still no luck.

Where can i get help ?

How did you update it? I couldn't find anything on the support page, not even a Manual.
