I lost all TV channels. Trying to view live TV I just had a spinning blue circle on a black screen. I unplugged the TV and plugged it back in again and some of the channels are now working but not all. I have BBC and Channel 5 channels coming via free view satellite, but I’ve just lost ITV and Channel 4 it is saying no signal. I tried auto tuning again and it found no new channels. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might get these back?
@PhilG007 Make sure to follow the steps in this link: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/kaep2/v1/en/08-04_14.html And to troubleshoot your TV reception, try the steps here: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/kaep2/v1/en/08-04_01.html Also, make sure your TV is updated: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/oled-tvs-android-a95l-series/xr-55a95l/software/00299239
Many thanks Maggie. I had managed to resolve it by doing a complete re-tuning rather than updating channels. This meant I had to re-do my channel list of course, but it resolved the missing channels. This is not a big deal except that it is very hard to work out which ITV channel is the right one for our region in the UK. Do you have any suggestions on how to get more details on these channels as they are not labelled with the region like BBC is.
thanks again
Do you know which transmitters serve your area.
If not look at this,
https://www.freeview.co.uk/corporate/detailed-transmitter-information
If you are being served by two transmitters (that have good signal quality) make a note of their names and the multiplexes they broadcast on.
The multiplex (mux) number is under the black circle with the white N.
Do a search for each transmitters information which should determine which ITV regions are being broadcast to you.
If you only want to receive signals from one transmitter with the ITV region you prefer you can do a manual tune
using the mux numbers you made a note of.
To clear the channels stored on your TV try unplugging the aerial cable and doing an Auto Channel Search
and see if that clears them. If it does then you can proceed with the manual search.
If the above does not clear the auto tuned channels you may have to do a Factory Reset.
