Any way to differentiate notification/call ringer volume? (D2303)

Is it true that the volume level must be set the same for the incoming call ringer and also for the notifications? This seems crazy to me.

I saw on an Android forum that some apps available *may* be able to differentiate volume for these two functions, so I wonder if anyone can confirm that or recommend something?

I understand your point but I'm afraid that there is no setting in the device that allows you to set these volumes separately.

That's ludicrous. And no solution is forthcoming?

The only workaround is either to disable notifications altogether or to manually create a sound file of very low amplitude! Very disappointing.
