Hello,u just update my sony xperia m2 d2303 yesterday for android version 4.4.4.i noticed that the notes app and some widget are lost..can somebody please help me how to recover these things bcause i hv many important things inside the note..thank you

Lost my notes too, not happy. Sony have a lot to answer for. They had better fix this or I'll be boycotting their products from now on. The incompetence they have shown is absolutely shocking.

Three weeks since the damned 4.4.4 update and still no news from Sony. Each day that passes I see they failed once and are going to fail twice giving us no solution, nothing except silence. That's ok, this means no more Sony mobiles in my life and telling everybody I can that their data is not safe having a Sony mobile.

Maybe we should threaten to go to the press, what with that hacking scandal, the last thing Sony needs is another ugly blot on their reputation.

Same, lots of important info that relate to my job are gone, it would be nice to hear what Sony can do about this (if anything) and if not then at least apologize, explain what happened so we can stop hanging on for a possible solution.

Same happened to me - lost lots of important stuff completely. If you google this there are some links to sites saying you need to root your phone or something - which sounds a bit extreme (and presumably invalidates warranties). Anyone got any ideas?

Really hoping Sony decide to fix this or at the very least apologise. Like many others I will certainly stop buying Sony after this unless they fix it.

Actually looks like this has affected other phones too not just Sony - however some kind of warning should have appeared before apps and personal data got lost. Am normnally pretty observant but didn't see anything like that this time around. Did anyone else?

I even backed up my data first but but still can't restore it because of compatibility issues.

Hi SE, i to have lost notes on installing latest upgrade, is there any way to restore my notes? why would you run an upgrade that loses apps ffrom customers phones, VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!!
