EU firmware in UK tv

Hi,

Is it OK to install EU firmware on the UK Televisions?

I tried once and it went into the blank screen issue and ended up replacing the TV.

About this download

  • Name: PKG4.560EUA
  • Date released: 17/11/2015
  • Do I need to update?: Your firmware may already be up to date, especially if you have a new Bravia TV model.
  • Benefits and improvements:
    • Improves the stability of your TV
  • Restrictions: only for use with TV sold in Europe. Not all models are sold in all countries

I think it is always good practise to read about any firmware update prior to downloading it to your product. When your TV prompts for a software update firstly go to here  Use the search function to find your product then you can read if it is compatible.
