Battery not recognised

I foolishly tried to use a third party higher capacity battery for my Vaio, it required an installation disc to be run which I think added a patch to the bios so the laptop wouldn't reject the battery, it didn't work but now it doesn't recognise the original battery, I have also bought a new genuine battery and this is not recognised either, can I downgrade the bios then update it again, just tried factory reset but that didn't work, also tried to update bios but as it has latest version it wont try to install, any help or advice greatly apreciate as I'm fed up of having to be tethered to the mains all the time.

Oh the laptop is a Vaio VPCF13M8E/B Rrunning windows 7

Hi goofball and welcome.

Unfortunately, I think you will need to contact Vaio Support. The original BIOS will probably need to be re-flashed.
