My laptop which is a Vaio VGN-FE11S has no audio, I am not exactly sure when this happened, but I had done a defragmentation and clear out of files and I wonder if it is as a result of this. I used troubleshoot to find out the problem and it came back saying there is no IDT HD CODEC Code10.
I have looked at de-installing and re-installing everything again, but despite having bought the laptop new direct from Sony I do not have any start up CD's. The laptop was already set up when I got it. Is there anything else I can do?
I did try going back to before I did the defragmentation, but it won't let me do that either... Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks..
