Hi,
I have a Vaio VPCSA2Z9E/BI, which I have recently upgraded to W8 64bits by following all the instructions given by Sony. Yet, after the updgrade, the sound device crashed. I mean, after I rebooted my PC, I had a BSOD, with a message error, and when it rebooted the sound icon came with a red cross on it. I tried many things:
- I ran the vaio update tool - nothing to update.
- I installed the original pilots that came from the Sony website, but nothing.
- I went to Realtek to download and install the latest drivers (R.2.70), but nothing. All the same with the previous version of the driver. Of course, I also tried to uninstall the previous drivers, deactivate the audio device, etc. in the Windows device managers, but nothing worked. I got the sound once, and next reboot BSOD again and no sound... Never worked ever since (more than a week ago now...)
So now I'm stuck with a beautiful machine, but no sound to enjoy multimedia experience. Pretty much annoying, all the more given the initial price of the PC... Could you help me please ???
