Problem with AR41-s Update

I have had several conversations with Sony over this problem just around Xmas my laptop decided to give up the ghost 18 months in I have now been told by Sony it needs a new mother board how the hell is that poss to save time I have attached the letters to sony.

Today I get a phone call from Sony saying they will replace the mother board at the cost of £500.00. I can go with this if it was a computer that was 5-6 years old even 4 years old but 18 months come on Sony are we just walking piggy banks for the company.

I asked Sony rep to send me all the details of the telephone conversation on the date we last spoke now over a week ago nothing not a sniff.

Come on how much do it take to get a letter in the post
It can not take all that time the only time you seem to get prompt responce is if you write to the europ head office. then they seen to fall over them selve trying to reply.

Sony wake up smell the coffee you can not keep treating people like they are just piggy banks.

Look after your customers and they will be Sony for a long time and not keep jumping brands

Ok sorry I have just seen the date on the original post 1st April April fools day
This ain't no joke any more

Hello

I so know what your are going through.
I was a proud owner of a Vaio VGN-AR21S until just after 2 years the Nvidia graphics card went bang.
I have had nothing but trouble with sony.

I had to go and work in Japan so i decided to take my Vaio with me and decided to buy the 1 year Overseas Service Pack. That was a mistake. The Japanese overseas service centre in Tokyo is useless. There is not a single person there who speaks any language apart from Japanese and all communication with them can only be done by computer, a little difficult when your computer has died.

I am so fed up with Sony treating me like this. I will not buy another vaio again.
I have owned 4 Vaio's in the past and all of their video cards have gone bang. No more. I cannot keep spending money on a computer that dies 2 years after buying it.
I have just had the thing serviced when the hard drives also died on me.

I will not buy another Sony Vaio unless they start offering a global 3 year warranty.
Apple seem to do it so why can't Sony.
