"My Computer" keeps popping up

Sometimes when starting Windows XP (sp2) "My Computer" keeps popping up. I checked for malware but that isn't it. Could it be a hardware conflict?
I have a Vaio VGN-FE31H and there is a USB pleomax keyboard and Logitech G3 mouse attached to it and a Konica Minolta laserprinter. Apart from the printer, every peripheral is Windows plug and play, i did not install any drivers.

maybe it might be listed in your list of startup programs. go to start/all programs/startup and see if my computer is listed there. if so you can right click and select delete and this will stop it popping up when windows starts. hope this helps

If this happens only once in a while must be nothing. Usually this happens when you shutdown you computer while my computer window is still opened. At next restart Windows opens up the last window that was open. Should be nothing. If though that pop-up window appears for no appearant reason it might be a spyware/adware or a small virus.
