Hi,
I'm considering buying a Vaio - in particular the Sony Fit 15 SVF1521C2EW 15.6" touchscreen which is available from Currys/PC world.
I've looked on the Sony site and this model number is found when searched at £549 (i.e. same as currys). however, if I build a Vaio from the configuration selections I can get a cheaper price (with an upgraded processor) but the model number at the end is SVF1531C5E. Is there a difference between the two - the spec sheets look the same?
number9scores it would appear that if you customise the SVF1531C5E to a similar specification to SVF1521C2E it would cost £538.99.
If you order by the 14th November you can select a free upgrade to an Intel® CoreTM i5 + NVIDIA 1GB normally £90
Only diference I can see is that the model you configure has two USB 3.0 ports and the the one in Curry's has two USB 3 & two USB 2.
If you decide to order the configarable model then if you phone the Sony sales line you can always ask for clarification before buying.
