Gentlemen,
I have just upgraded my TuneUp Utilities software to the 2012 version and have some problems. I have contacted TuneUp support with the problem but they are taking forever coming back to me, apart from allocating a number!
My problem is that with the new upgrade I am unable to activate either the Turbo mode or the Economy mode (error message comes up)!
Has anyone else recently upgraded to the 2012 version and experienced this problem and found a solution?

Hello again gentlemen,
I had no answers to my previous mail re. TuneUp Utilities 2012 so with your permission may I ask a more general question regarding TuneUp.
I contacted TuneUp regarding their software just about a month ago now and as yet have had no response from them, other than to issue a ticket number.
Although I am prepared to believe that the TuneUp Utilities software might have some benefits, I am very rapidly becoming totally disenchanted with their customer care! To the point where, although I have just renewed my subscription for 2012, I am thinking of leaving them in preference for some other software with, hopefully, better customer service.
Have any other TuneUp users found them equally non-cooperative to user problems or questions?

Sorry I can't help with this. I stopped using TuneUp when the 2009 version came out.
I don't like applications doing things in the background and trying to take over more tasks than I want it to do.

Thanks for your reply, very interesting. I started using the TuneUp software some few years ago primarily on the recommendation of one of the respected gentlemen who were helping me at that time, cannot remember exactly who.
Also, if my memory serves me correctly, it was a recommendation in one of the early postings that were 'stuck' to the opening discussions in the earlier Forum format.
As an aside, for someone like myself who does not know the detailed 'inside' of the computer workings, what would you recommend instead of the TuneUp software, that does a similar job?
