When I installed Adobe premiere (a very old version - 1.0) on my Vaio laptop, I received the warning:
"The currently installed soundcard driver does not support Direct Sound
Input. Recording audio is not possible."
Does anyone know what this means? Does this mean I won't be able to capture video and audio to make a DVD?
I've got a VGN-NR10E/S.
I think this means that the sound card in your computer is a lot newer the
an what is compatible with the audio on the software so you MAY not be able to record with audio.:smileyconfused: There may be a compatability update for this error but im not sure
I think it might be an idea to put this under software aswell as there might be other people who know more
Hope this helps, Mark.
Hi cattyb,
welcome to Club VAIO..
Have you checked the correct sound card is selected in the Audio hardware settings in the Adobe premiere preferences..
