Does anybody have any idea how to solve this problem?

Hi rado,

his has caused a lot of confusion over the past year.

SD High Capacity (SDHC) card is the new SD™ memory card based on the SDA
2.00 specification, introduced by the SD Card Association. This new SDA 2.00
specification enables SD cards to reach higher capacities - 4GB-32GB*.

SDHC is a completely different format from SD and unless a device specifically supports SDHC (it will usually have a SDHC Logo), it will not be able to read the card.

As I understand it - correct me if I'm wrong - a firmware upgrade may ultimately be available but at the present time, I don't think the Vaio SD Slot hardware is capable of supporting SDHC.

You will either need a USB SDHC card reader or you can import data via USB cable from your Camera/Camcorder. If you are using AVCHD, you will need specialist software to import and edit video.

Hi Blencogo,

the problem occurs only in Windows Vista. If I try to use this SD card in Linux, it works fine. There is no problem to read and write to this card in Linux. Vista read this card only one time.

Hi rado,

If your hardware is compatible with SDHC you may find this Windows Vista Secure Digital (SD) rollup package may be worth a try.

I know the TZ-Series supports SDHC but the picture seems to be inconsistent.

EDIT: I still think a USB SDHC Reader will be more reliable!
