Vaio Launcher - registered icons not launching

Hi

When I click on a registered icon in the Vaio Launcher sidebar, the program connected to that icon is not launching.

Have tried Vaio Update, but I can't see any updates there which are applicable to this program.

Found one driver update through Google (Vaio Launcher Update Program for XP, version 1.4.11), but when I tired to install it was told it's not intended for my model.

I have a VGN-A617s running XP.

Any help greatly appreciated.

No idea Stuart.

I think you may have to reinstall Vaio Zone and see if that fixes it.

Start -> Vaio Recovery Tool -> Vaio Recovery Utility
Pick the "OPTIONS" button from the bottom of the screen and choose to reinstall programs that were previously installed.

Rich912 mentioned a while ago that Vaio Zone has the following dependences:

1.PXEngine
2. VAIO Entertainment Platform
3. OpenMG Setup
4. SonicStage Shared Library
5. SonicStage
6. MEPG Decoder
7. WinDVD
8. Click 2 DVD
9. MPEG Decoder
10. VAIO Media

so it may be worth checking if any of those are missing from your Vaio..
